Contrary to past experience, I popped in here last night for a quick pint and was pleasantly surprised. It’s under new ownership and they have done a very good job of smartening it up. Spent a while chatting to the owner, who used to run the Beau Nash and a pub in Heathfield. He is a nice guy and showed us the garden etc. I think this could actually be a really decent pub given half a chance.
